
Is the stock market open or closed on Presidents Day 2025? See holiday schedule
U.S. stock markets will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, in observance of the Presidents Day holiday, also known as Washington's Birthday.
The Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange will both be closed on the federal holiday but will reopen for regular trading hours on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The U.S. bond markets will also be closed on Feb. 17, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. The bond markets will also reopen on Feb. 18.
After Presidents Day, it will be business as usual on Wall Street until mid-April, when stock and bond markets will close in honor of Good Friday.

- Good Friday: Friday, April 18
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
- Juneteenth: Thursday, June 19
- Independence Day: Friday, July 4 (markets will also close at 1 p.m. ET on July 3)
- Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 1
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, Nov. 27 (markets will also close at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 28)
- Christmas: Thursday, Dec. 25 (markets will also close at 1 p.m. ET on Dec. 24)
