Toyota recalls 168,000 Sienna minivans due to issue with seat backs: See affected models
Toyota said last Thursday it is conducting a "noncompliance safety recall" involving approximately 168,000 Sienna minivans in North America, Asia, and other regions and countries.
The vehicles are being recalled because the bolts connecting the split 60/40 third-row seat backs to the recliner assemblies may not have been tightened to specification, causing the subject vehicles to not meet certain safety standards, the automaker said in a news release.
"A seat back in this condition may not perform as intended, leading to an increased risk of injury to a seated occupant," Toyota said.
What models are affected
The recall affects certain 2021-25 model year Sienna vehicles.
