More than 315,000 Ram trucks recalled for brake system issue: See affected vehicles

Stellantis is recalling more than 315,000 of its Ram pickup trucks due to a potentially deadly safety issue with the braking system, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reporting.
Federal safety regulators published the recall after learning that hydraulic control units installed on some of the automaker's vehicles may fail.
A loss of anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, or traction control can increase the risk of a crash, according to the NHTSA.

- Ram 3500 (2017-2018)
- Ram 4500 (2017-2018)
- Ram 5500 (2017-2018)

What should I do if my Ram truck is recalled?
Dealers will replace the HCU free of charge, federal safety regulators said.
Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners on or about Jan. 9.
