QVC recalls more than a million pairs of Temp-tations Oven Gloves over burn hazard

  • The gloves may not provide adequate heat protection, potentially leading to burns.
  • Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled gloves immediately and contact QVC for a refund.

Are you baking this holiday season? You might want to take a look at your oven gloves before you turn up the temperature.

QVC is recalling about 1.1 million pairs of its Temp-tations Oven Gloves over a burn hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall report issued on Thursday.  

“The oven gloves can fail to provide sufficient protection from heat, posing a burn hazard to consumers," the safety commission says. 

In the recall report, QVC said there have been 162 reports of insufficient heat protection, including 92 reports of minor burns.

What gloves are affected? 

The recall affects anyone who purchased the QVC Temp-tations Oven Gloves from August 2018 through August 2024, the shopping channel said.  

QVC said that the gloves were priced between $4 and $13 per pair and bundled in kitchen item sets for between $14 and $26 per set. 

The number of the recall is 25-059.

Which glove models are in the recall?   

The Temp-tations Oven Gloves were sold on QVC.com, QVC televised shows and QVC digital shopping platform in blue, yellow, red, floral and summer shell prints, the recall report said.

What should I do if I have the affected product?   

The commission said that people who have the gloves should stop using them immediately.   

Customers can contact QVC to receive a refund, the report said.
