Where is Target opening new stores? See list of planned locations across 15 states

Target shoppers will soon have more places to fill up their carts.

The retailer has plans to open new store locations across 15 states, including six new stores in both Florida and Texas.

The store says it considers several factors to decide where to open new locations, including constraints presented by the site, other Target stores in the area and "how we can best meet a community’s needs," the retailer says on its website.

“And each step of the way, we work closely with local officials and guests to develop stores that truly make shopping easy, inspiring and affordable,” Target says.

The store announced Thursday it was beginning its annual Holiday Clearance Event, alongside similar promotions from Walmart, Amazon and Best Buy. From beauty supplies and holiday decor to toys and sporting goods, Target customers can enjoy saving on their favorite items while supplies last.
