Circle K offering 40 cents off all gas types before Thanksgiving: Here's when to get the deal

Hitting the road for Thanksgiving? Circle K has a deal this week if you need to fill up ahead of your trip.

The convenience store chain's Fuel Day special on Thursday, Nov. 21, can get you 40 cents off per gallon between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time. The discount is on all types of gas and the sale price will be reflected on the pump, the company said in a press release.

More than 5,000 Circle K locations across the U.S. are participating in the Fuel Day promotion. To see if your local Circle K location is offering this deal, check the website at circlek.com/fuelday. Customers in line before 7 p.m. will receive the 40 cents off discount while supplies last.

Some states may have limits on savings; for instance, in Wisconsin, customers can save up to $4.50 on a minimum purchase of three gallons.

“As many customers take to the roads visiting their loved ones and celebrating what they are grateful for, we want to extend our thanks to our valued customers with a great markdown at the pump,” said Louise Warner, executive vice president for North American operations at Circle K. “We know the holidays are full of busy schedules and celebrations, which is why we’re pleased to offer our customers a way to save as part of our commitment to making their lives a little easier.”

Sheetz:Save 40 cents per gallon for certain fuel as Thanksgiving travel picks up

Sheetz offering gas deal, too

Circle K isn't the only place to get a deal on gasoline this Thanksgiving season. Sheetz is cutting the price of Unleaded 88 – a blend of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline – by 40 cents per gallon through Nov. 30 at the 505 Sheetz stores that offer Unleaded 88.

You can check the the Sheetz mobile app or website to find the closest location with Unleaded 88. The deal may vary at Sheetz locations in Maryland due to local pricing laws, the company said.

Expect plenty of company if you are loading up the car for Thanksgiving. The holiday is expected to bring a record 71.7 million people traveling by car, AAA estimates. That's 1.3 million more than last year and more than 2019 pre-pandemic Thanksgiving travel numbers of 70.6 million, AAA says.
